01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Da Sauce is a vibrant culinary gem located at 2907 Huron St #104, Denver, CO, that brings authentic Chicago flavors straight to Colorado’s doorstep. Specializing in classic Chicago-style dishes, this unique spot combines the best elements of a restaurant, bar, ice cream shop, and pizza delivery/takeaway all under one roof. Whether you’re craving rich, hearty sandwiches, perfectly crafted pizzas, or indulgent ice cream treats, Da Sauce offers a memorable dining experience infused with genuine Midwestern soul.

Step inside and you immediately feel the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere—the kind that invites you to linger over good food, great drinks, and lively conversation. The indoor/outdoor dining areas offer space to relax, while the pool table and karaoke nights add a spirited social vibe that’s both fun and authentic.

The menu is a love letter to Chicago’s deep culinary traditions. Their Chicago Italian Beef sandwich, roasted and sliced in-house daily, delivers bold, savory flavors on freshly baked bread, perfectly complemented by your choice of hot or mild giardiniera—a spicy, tangy mix of pickled vegetables that enhances every bite. For those seeking a comforting, melty delight, the Meatball Sub layer of melted mozzarella paired with Da Sauce’s signature sauce makes for an unforgettable combination.

Pizza lovers will find true joy here, especially those who appreciate the nuanced, tavern-style pies rooted in Chicago history. Da Sauce’s pizza crusts achieve a flawless balance of crispy edges and chewy centers, topped with rich mushroom, savory meats, or fresh cheeses that evoke the city’s famed thin but hearty style. One standout item is the ChiZone, a handbraided, buttery garlic creation layered with mozzarella and Italian seasoning, making it a perfect starter or shareable snack that’s bursting with flavor.

Besides the food, what truly sets Da Sauce apart is its authentic connection to Chicago culture. Owner and patrons alike share stories of hometown pride, from Mundelein to 71st and Western—building a community hub for Chicago transplants and curious locals. The service is warm and attentive, with thoughtful touches like helping a disabled customer settle comfortably or offering insider recommendations, which make each visit feel personal and genuine.

While prices reflect quality and careful craftsmanship, customers have suggested useful additions like family carryout specials to ensure more people can enjoy the exceptional offerings without hesitation. Da Sauce also embraces local tastes with unique touches such as Vitner’s chips from Chicago and a fully stocked bar, rounding out a truly immersive experience.

All in all, Da Sauce is more than just a place to eat; it’s a flavorful bridge to Chicago’s rich culinary heritage, delivered with passion and care. Whether you’re a native Chicagoan longing for a taste of home or a food lover eager to explore genuine Midwestern fare, a visit to Da Sauce promises satisfaction for the palate and warmth for the soul.

I give it 5 stars because its all made from scratch yet it has that Chicago pizza taste, I recommend owner have carryout family specials starting at $20 because $29.74 may be a bit much for a large mushroom pizza for most ppl and it gives you a way to sell more items! Has Vitners chips from Chicago! Pool table! Indoor/outdoor dining! Bar!

I’m originally from Chicago, and we’ve been on this mission to find a legit pizza spot in Denver. Honestly, every place we tried before this has failed… until we found The Sauce. This is hands-down the best Chicago-style pizza and Italian beef we’ve had since moving here. It literally reminds us of home. The owner is super friendly and clearly cares about what he’s serving. He even told us he makes his own Italian sausage, which is amazing — you can taste the quality. And the Italian beef? Better than the usual chains back in Chicago. That’s saying a lot. If you’re craving real Chicago flavors, this place is it. Highly, highly recommend.

The pizza was really good with great flavor and a perfectly cooked crust. Drinks were solid, and the karaoke added such a fun atmosphere. Staff was friendly and service was quick. If you’re looking for a place to relax, eat, and have a good time, this is.

I grew up in Chicago and lived there for over 30 years and when I saw that this place offered true Chicago tavern style pizza, I had to give it a shot and it did not disappoint. What was also awesome was finding out that the owner and his kids are from my hometown of mundelein and I can definitely see a little inspiration from our local tavern style place Bill's pub.

Edit 7/21 we finally got to dine in and omg the service was amazing! She was so attentive and even helped my mother in law who is disabled get in her chair and kept making sure her drink was full since it was a little task to refill herself. I can’t wait to go back again and again! Our new pizza spot! This place has helped cure my cravings! Im from Chicago, 71st and western. This place is incredible, the lady working up front was amazing and the cook! we had a great conversation and they were so helpful. I came 5/6 645pm I can’t wait to go back! The mild peppers were good but will absolutely get the hot next time. Going back for the Italian beef’s and Chicago dogs! Pizza had the best crispy crust and the cheese was cooked perfectly.

My favorite pizza in Denver. It’s that good. If you’re a tavern style pizza person come here. Perfect crust, great sauce, and excellent toppings. Service is always great and friendly as well! Wish I lived closer to it.

My boyfriend and I were craving a Chicago style pizza and found this place online after doing extensive research. We live in the Springs but we’re both from Chicago originally (NW Side) and thought Da Sauce pizza was super authentic. Next time we’ll be trying the sausage pizza with green peppers and onion. The owner was also exceptionally nice and we had a great convo. Overall we would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice Chicago tavern style pizza.

Really good Chicago style food and even better owners. So far I’ve had their deep dish, the Chicago tavern pizza, their cheese bread, the amaze balls, the meat amaze balls, and whatever Jandy wants to make me. I find myself just thinking about their food and there I am back at their restaurant. They also have killer ice cream flavors as well.
